JASH FLAT MECHANICAL FINE BAR SCREEN
[ SCREENMAT ]
An innovative, inverse step type fine bar screen for sewage treatment plants.
APPLICATION :
Jash “Screenmat” is an inverse step type mechanically operated Fine Step screen designed specially for screening of fine floating waste coming with water and municipal/industrial wastewater.
Screenmat screens are highly recommended as primary screening equipment in municipal sewage treatment plant and effluent treatment plants of various industries like Food processing, Rayon and textiles, Paper and pulp, Pharmaceuticals, Tanneries, Slaughter houses and so on.
WORKING
Screenmat fine screen are installed at an inclination of 40 degrees in the open channel of the treatment plants. Screenmat fine screen works on the principle of mat formation. Mat formation means Screenmat screens are able to remove wastes even finer that the bar spacing.
As the wastewater flow through the screen, floating waste gradually starts depositing on the submerged portion of the screen resulting in to gradual formation of mat of waste upon the screen. As the density of mat on the screen increases the amount of water passing through the screen decreases resulting in to increase of the water level on the upstream side of screen. Once a pre determined max level is reached, the level probe activates the screen motion. The movable bars located between the fixed bars, start moving upwards and take along with them the complete mat of waste formed on the screen. After depositing the mat at higher level the movable bar retract back to its initial downward position.
Once the mat starts coming out of the flow the amount of water passing through the screen increases and the water level on the upstream side of the screen reduces. When the predetermined lower water level is reached, the level probe deactivates the screen motion and stops the screen. The time lag between the start and the stop of the screen is limited to few second only. This way the mat keeps moving upward intermittently till it reaches the discharge point and then gets dropped in to a bin or a conveyor belt through the inbuilt chute.
BAR SPACING:
Bar spacing range from 2 to 6 mm. For municipal waste treatment 6 mm bar spacing is highly recommended. For industrial waste bar spacing depends up on nature of the waste.
MATERIAL OF CONSTRUCTION
To prevent from corrosion and to provide longer life “Screenmat fine screens are completely made from stainless steel AISI 304 grade as standard. Other grades of stainless steels are available up on request.
