GREY IRON CASTINGS
 

JASH has in-house captive foundry which makes hand moulded Grey Iron Castings for Jash Group products ranging in weights from a few kgs. Upto 10,000 kgs., single piece in various grades as per IS:210 maximum up to grade FG:260 (26 kgs/mm²). These castings are for products like bed plates, floor plates, water control gates, surface plates etc. which are usually of large sizes and flat in nature involving vast machined surfaces. Other castings made are for products like large size straight edges, angle plates, box angle plates, swing valves, knife gate valves etc. etc.

JASH also makes job castings as per clients’ patterns, drawings and specifications – unmachined, proof machined or fully machined duly sand blasted and stress relieved as required. Such castings are machine tool castings like beds, columns, tables, slides, Engineering and Industrial Machinery Castings like machine elements, frames, machine bodies etc. as also castings for chemical industries like reaction vessels etc. JASH has made castings of a varied nature like turbine supports, turbine housings and components, drying cylinders, fly wheels, large rolls etc. etc.
With Cupolas – cold as well as warm blast – as basic melting units, the foundry works with dry sand, CO₂ sand, cement sand and no-back sand practices as may be necessary to cover varying requirements of the type of castings to be made.

JASH regularly exports C.I. machine components and castings to U.K. and Germany. The foundry has a spare capacity to take care of regular recurring requirements of castings falling in the category of medium and heavy weight castings.
