Application
  • Cuts across standing head or flowing material thereby ideal for use as an operational valve for metering or as an emergency shut off valve.

  • Robust & Compact sized valve for low headroom applications. Most suitable for use as material isolation valve or as silo sealing valve for continuous feeding of granular & pulverized media in loading stations. Also ideal for use as a maintenance valve in ash handling systems.

Technical Features
  • Housing provided with seal retainer ring is dust tight to the material flow and gas tight to the atmosphere.
  • Comprises of one piece housing inside which the Stainless Steel / Dillidure gate slides effortlessly over the adjustable guide cams.
  • Removable stuffing box packing without removal from installation.
  • Safety mandated Gate rearward opening enclosure.

The ZFB valve design has the following advantages over other conventional desings of Slide gate valves:

  1. Larger compression area in the closing section
    Advantage : No Jamming. The frontal closing area is indicated by a larger expansion space that will safely prevent the gate from jamming during closing. This also assists when the gate must cut across a standing head of the material.
  2. Frontal Closing area
    Advantage : No possibility of partial closure on account of granulous material coming in between the gate and seat ring. This ensures that the gate closing area is always positively dust tight and the combination of packing material and flexible seal also makes it dust tight to the atmosphere.
  3. Adjustable Guide Cams.
    Advantage: Wear of the seat ring can be offset by raising the gate using adjustable guide cams even in installed position. Hence achievement of better leak tightness of the closing area even after prolonged use.
  4. Removable Rear Cross Seal Packing Box
    Advantage: Enables replacement of rear cross seal with the valve in installed condition. Hence easy to maintain.
  5. Rear Enclosure
    Advantage: Rear enclosure of the gate opening ensures safety & helps in preventing environmental pollution by collection of escaping material after wear of cross seals on continuous usage.
